The Newton Gun Violence Prevention Collaborative (NGVPC) is a local group dedicated to reducing the impact of gun violence in our community. We work locally to promote common sense policy measures and implement educational initiatives to keep residents safe.

Originally Stop Gun Stores In Newton, this group was pivotal in the passage of zoning ordinance 145-21, making Newton one of the most restrictive cities in the nation for firearms dealers. Moving forward, we will continue to oppose any gun store in Newton at any location, help other towns and cities enact restrictive zoning laws, and advocate for common-sense gun violence prevention initiatives that are aligned with state and national gun violence prevention strategies.
